VIII•V•MMXIX – Day 16 & 17

One last picture from our Plaza trip a few weeks ago!

Saturday, August 3

This was a long day, but a good one. I feel like I say that about every day, but this time it’s pretty true. We had two classes from 1-5 in the afternoon and then we had 6 hours in the prayer room. For those who don’t know, Practicum is a class where one of our leaders teach us and then show us practically how to apply it to our life. For example, learning how to pray read the Word.

If you remember, I absolutely loved my survey class last week when we talked about different histories of the Bible. This week it almost turned into a theology class and we all left with our minds completely BLOWN. When I took Theology at Elim every class felt like my brain was picked apart; this felt like my brain exploded. We all discussed the first few verses of the bible and then went into thoughts about heaven and the New Jerusalem. Of course, everything learned I need to discover for myself in Scripture, but it’s all very compelling!

Sunday, August 4

I’m going to be honest here, I really struggled to follow the pastor’s message today. He was a leader in the church, not the main pastor; and I’m sure that his message was amazing but personally, I just couldn’t follow it!

That evening we had our first Harp and Bowl class, where we are learning how to lead prayer sets. To all of you who asked if I’d be doing any worship; apparently, I will be! We have auditions in a few weeks and it’s an environment where we can mess up, grow, and learn. I’m both nervous and excited.

We then had four hours in the prayer room that evening and the Lord met me where I was and continued to work in my heart. As hard as it is sometimes, the Lord is so faithful. He’s really working in my heart, touching things I didn’t even realize were bruised and healing them.

God’s so good!

Thanks for reading. xx
