VII•XXIV•MMXIX – Day 4 & 5

Monday, July 22

The longest day in the prayer room is over and in the books. Honestly, it was a really good experience; we had a packet to fill out and things to read to pass the time. Not only that, but God is just so faithful to meet us when we ask. Right before our time began in the prayer room all of the leaders prayed over us; the Holy Spirit met us in that moment and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room. He spoke to me through multiple leaders, and really set the foundation for what can happen through the next five months.

While in the prayer room we had a packet to fill out, it pushed us to go deep in things like our testimony and what we want God to do in this next season. Then later that night we went over part of it with our groups! It was a moment of vulnerability but I’m sure that was just the first of many. I’m really happy with the group God placed me into, I feel like we were all able to connect quickly and deeply.

Tuesday, July 23

This was our first day of a normal schedule; we had a class and about 5 hours in the prayer room. I’m really excited for the assignments we have to do; one of the books we are required to read is Bob Sorge’s Secrets of the Secret Place. Which I’ve been wanting to read for so long! The other books also look like they will be Spiritually filling as well; not only do we have books, but we are required to read the entire Bible.

To be completely honest I was supposed to read the whole Bible while at EBI but I didn’t get to a few books… Especially in the New Testament. So I’m really excited to finally accomplish it!

Last night at about 11:00 pm everyone seemed very tired; I was even struggling to get through the last hour. Then the band started playing a fun groove; so a few girls and I decided to get up and walk around to the beat. This was fun in itself, but after a little while, a few stopped walking and begun snapping back and forth in a fun way. A few minutes later almost every intern was in a line in the back snapping, dancing, and laughing together in the Presence of God. The joy of the Lord was over us and I could feel Him smiling down on His children enjoying His presence. It was an amazing moment that really gave us the energy we needed to press in for the last hour.

It was a fun start to our week! I’m excited to see what else God does.

Thank you for reading. xx
